The BK-7 Zoysia Grass originated in Beltsville, Maryland and is a cross between Meyer Zoysia (Japonica) and Emerald Zoysia (Tenuifolia). Craft Turf Farms has been growing BK-7 since 1987 and have been very pleased with its performance. Some of its positive characteristics are:

Craft Turf Farms introduced BK-7 to the Atlanta market in 2005 after its success in and around Birmingham, AL. We are currently presenting this grass to turf research programs to document its performance compared to other types of zoysia grass.
